Kyiv was hit by a large air strike again, and Trump

Source: Cailianshe

Just last Sunday, US President Trump made "hard criticism" of Russian President Putin, some of his most severe remarks against Putin after he took office and the rapid heating of US-Russia relations.

Trump pointed out that he was dissatisfied with Putin after the recent fatal attacks in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian capital military management department said that Kiev was attacked by more than a dozen Russian drones in the early morning of the 25th local time and warned of possible missile attacks. The attack on the 25th killed at least 12 people in Ukraine and injured dozens of people. According to information released by Ukraine, in and around Kiev, the explosion continued all night.

Some media commented that the attacks in the past 48 hours were one of the most violent air strikes on Ukraine since the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict in February 2022. This is also the second consecutive night of large-scale attacks in Kiev. Late at night on the 23rd to the early morning on the 24th, the Ukrainian Air Force monitored about 250 drones and 4 missiles, most of which were targeting Kiev.

On the same day, Trump told reporters who asked to know the latest situation in Russia: "Yes, I will tell you the latest situation. I am not satisfied with what Putin did. He killed a lot of people, and I don't know what the hell is about Putin and what happened."

"We are having talks here, and he is firing rockets at Kiev and other cities. I don't like it at all," he added.

Trump also said he was "surprised at what he saw" and reiterated that the United States could impose new sanctions on Russia.

Zelensky: Russia is not really interested in peace talks

Ukrainian President Zelensky posted on social media that Russia launched nearly 300 attack drones overnight, as well as various assault weapons, including ballistic missiles.

Zelensky said Kiev and 11 other areas were attacked. He believes that these are deliberate attacks against ordinary cities. On that day, ordinary residences were destroyed and damaged. In Kyiv, the university's history department's dormitory was hit. Even more unfortunately, civilians, including children, were killed.

Zelensky stressed on Sunday that Russia's recent actions highlighted Moscow's lack of real interest in peace.

He also criticized the recent silence of the United States and other countries.

“The world may be off on weekends, but the war continues, both on weekends and on weekdays. This cannot be ignored,” he added. “I think the silence of the United States, the silence of other countries in the world, will only encourage Putin.”
