Trump: US manufacturing industry doesn't have socks and tanks
Source: Wall Street News
US Treasury Secretary Bescent recently said that the textile industry does not need to return to the United States. On May 25 local time, US President Trump expressed his support for Besent. He said that the United States does not intend to produce T-shirts, sneakers, and socks, but rather to make "big things" and to make tanks, chips, and computers.
In this regard, some American netizens pointed out that this is equivalent to destroying the existing textile industry in the United States. Some netizens also questioned that if everything is not made in the United States, then what kind of "trade war" can we fight?
Regarding Trump and Becente's so-called "the United States should focus on "major industries", some netizens pointed out that this US government "can only shout slogans, but cannot come up with practical and specific plans."
