Financial Times: After the U.S. suspends investigation of Justin Sun, Tron plans to go public through reverse merger

According to Foresight News, according to the Financial Times, people familiar with the matter revealed that Justin Sun's Tron is about to be listed in the United States after market regulators agreed to suspend fraud investigations into several of his companies. Tron will be listed through a reverse merger with Nasdaq-listed SRM Entertainment, which is operated by Dominari Securities, a boutique investment bank headquartered in New York and linked to Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr. and Trump’s second son, Eric Trump.

One of the people said the newly formed company will buy and hold Tron Tokens (TRX), mimicking Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy). The person also revealed that Eric Trump is expected to hold a position in the new company, which will be named Tron Inc. In the transaction, Tron is expected to inject up to $210 million in token assets into the new company.

In 2023, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) accused Jutsin Sun and three companies, including Tron, of allegedly selling unregistered securities and manipulating the market. In February, the SEC and Jutsin Sun jointly filed a motion in court to suspend the lawsuit in search of a possible settlement after Trump expressed his desire to adopt "looser regulation" on the crypto industry.
