The UK Financial Services Regulatory Commission launches a stablecoin investigation to solicit opinions from all walks of life

According to Foresight News, the British Financial Services Regulatory Commission has launched a stablecoin investigation and invites people from all walks of life to launch a new investigation and submit opinions on the growth and proposed regulatory issues of British stablecoins. The deadline for submitting written opinions is March 11, 2026.

The survey has a total of 6 stablecoin-related questions:

The development of the global stablecoin market and issuance since 2014, and the comparison of the UK market with the United States and the European Union;

The future development prospects, user groups and uses of UK pound-denominated stablecoins, as well as the impact of current regulatory rules;

The opportunities and risks that stablecoins (denominated in pounds sterling and US dollars) bring to the UK economy, financial services industry and retail users, including potential impacts on monetary policy, traditional financial intermediaries and financial crime;

The impact of stablecoin development on the statutory objectives of the Bank of England (BoE), the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA);

The impact of the Bank of England and FCA's proposed regulatory regime on the adoption of systemic and non-systemic stablecoins in the UK and internationally;

The UK can draw inspiration from the regulatory experience of stablecoins in jurisdictions such as the United States and the European Union.
