Pakistan’s central bank will collaborate with Trump family crypto project WLFI to explore the use of USD1 for cross-border payments
PANews, January 14, Reuters reported that Pakistan has reached an agreement with World Liberty Financial, an encryption company affiliated with US President Trump’s family, to explore the use of its US dollar stablecoin USD1 for cross-border payments. Under the agreement, World Liberty will work with the Central Bank of Pakistan to integrate its USD1 stablecoin into a regulated digital payments architecture so that it can operate in parallel with Pakistan’s local digital currency infrastructure. The news is expected to be officially announced during the visit of World Liberty CEO Zach Witkoff to Islamabad.
