Philippine digital bank GoTyme partners with U.S. fintech firm Alpaca to launch cryptocurrency services

Philippine digital bank GoTyme has announced a partnership with U.S. fintech company Alpaca to launch a cryptocurrency service that allows users to buy and hold 11 crypto assets, including BTC, ETH, SOL, DOT, and more, by automatically converting Philippine pesos to U.S. dollars within the app. Founded in 2022, the bank currently has more than 6.5 million users and plans to further expand into the Vietnamese and Indonesian markets. GoTyme Chief Executive Officer Clarke said the bank does not expect to pursue profitability targets before 2027. (Cointelegraph)
