National Natural Science Foundation of China opens stablecoin research application, including 5 sub-project research

According to Foresight News, the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Management Science Department opened the application for the 2025 Phase 3 emergency management project "Research on Global Stablecoin Risk Governance and Cross-border Collaborative Supervision System", and the application deadline is 16:00 on October 9, 2025. The study period is 10-12 months (November 2025 - October 2026). The study includes 1 general topic and 5 sub-topics: the general topic is a study on the evolution trend of global stablecoins, risk transmission and China's risk governance and strategic response; the sub-topic 1 is a study on the structural evolution of global stablecoins and the impact of international monetary system; the sub-topic 2 is a study on the inherent vulnerability of stablecoins, risk transmission and macro-prudential management; the sub-topic 3 is a study on the impact of stablecoins on monetary sovereignty and monetary policy effectiveness; the sub-topic 4 is a study on the impact, transmission and response strategies of digital currencies on China's financial intermediary system; the sub-topic 5 is a study on the global stablecoin regulatory framework, financial infrastructure and cross-border collaborative research.




The National Natural Science Foundation of China specially established the Ministry of Management Science Emergency Management Project in 1997. The project mainly fundes the use of standardized scientific methods to further carry out research on important and key issues that need to be solved in the national macro-management and development strategy based on relevant scientific research, as well as the research on "hot spots" and "difficult" issues in economic, scientific and technological and social development practices.
