According to Foresight News, according to the official account of the Chongqing Branch of the People's Bank of China, recently, the public reported that criminals used the name of the Chongqing Branch of the People's Bank of China to carry out false propaganda under the guise of promoting digital RMB, claiming that "paid promotion", "high returns", "sharing merchant profits", etc., deceiving the public and causing adverse social impacts. In response, the Chongqing Branch of the People's Bank of China issued the following risk warning to the public: the digital RMB is a legal currency in digital form issued by the People's Bank of China, and is exchanged 1:1 with physical currency, without any speculation space, and no promotional rebate activities. The Chongqing Branch of the People's Bank of China has never issued any announcements such as "Digital RMB investment transactions to obtain high returns", "Promoting digital RMB rebates", and "paid solicitation of digital RMB pilot promoters". Relevant units, enterprises and the general public are asked to be vigilant, strengthen identification, and beware of being deceived.
