The Ethereum Foundation will optimize the implementation path of the ecological support plan and has suspended the application for public funding

According to Foresight News, the Ethereum Foundation announced that it is optimizing the key areas and implementation paths of the Eco-Support Program (ESP), and has temporarily suspended public funding applications as part of the transition. This adjustment will buy the foundation to redesign the funding model, shift its focus to strategic plans, from passive response to proactive attacks, and support the priorities of other teams of the Ethereum Foundation.



The foundation mentioned that it has continued to optimize processes and improve efficiency over the past three years, but as a public funding program with limited resources and wide coverage, the influx of applications has consumed most of its time and energy, making it difficult for it to free up resources to explore new strategic opportunities. The foundation will continue to fund Ethereum public products and accept applications, but will adopt a completely new approach, with specific details set out in future announcements. The key areas and implementation paths after ESP optimization will be announced in the fourth quarter of 2025.
