Nasdaq plans to extend trading hours for stocks and trading products to 23 hours
According to Foresight News, Nasdaq has submitted documents to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), planning to extend trading hours for stocks and exchange-traded products (ETPs) from 16 hours a day to 23 hours a day, five days a week. The new trading hours will include: day trading session (4:00 to 20:00 ET), one-hour market break (20:00 to 21:00), and night trading session (21:00 to 4:00 the next day). The entire trading week will start at 21:00 on Sunday and end at 20:00 on Friday. The opening and closing times of the existing regular trading session (9:30 to 16:00) remain unchanged.
