PayPal Holiday Cryptocurrency Report: Nearly a Quarter of U.S. Adults Consider Giving Cryptocurrency as a Holiday Gift
According to Foresight News, according to the "NCA PayPal Holiday Cryptocurrency Report" jointly released by the Cryptocurrency Association (NCA) and PayPal, 17% of consumers said that they are more likely to choose cryptocurrency over gift cards for holiday gifts this year, and another 31% of consumers believe that cryptocurrency is less likely to be left idle. The survey of more than 2,000 adults ages 18 and older also found that nearly a quarter of U.S. adults (24%) have already given or are considering giving cryptocurrency as a gift this holiday season. Among cryptocurrency holders, enthusiasm for gifting cryptocurrencies is even higher: nearly two-thirds (65%) have already given, plan to, or are considering giving cryptocurrencies this year, while half (50%) have received or expect to receive cryptocurrencies as gifts.
23% of consumers say they are likely to shop with cryptocurrencies this holiday season, and nearly one in five (19%) plan to shop with cryptocurrencies in the next year. Among cryptocurrency holders, the figure is as high as 62%.
