SOLOTEX receives FINRA approval to launch tokenized shares to U.S. retail investors

According to Foresight News, according to Coindesk, SoloTex is a new platform jointly launched by Texture Capital and Sologenic. It plans to provide U.S. retail traders with tokenized stocks that meet regulatory standards after receiving regulatory approval from FINRA.

The platform, which will launch later this year, aims to provide true equity ownership through tokens, including dividends and voting rights.

Texture Capital, a U.S. broker-dealer registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), said it has received regulatory approval to launch SoloTex, a retail trading venue that allows investors to use stablecoins to purchase tokenized versions of U.S. stocks. The platform, built in partnership with tokenization company Sologenic, is expected to go live by the end of 2025.


Texture Capital CEO Richard Johnson and Sologenic CEO Mike McCluskey told CoinDesk that SoloTex aims to differentiate itself from competitors by offering real stock ownership through tokens. The platform only issues tokens upon purchase of the underlying stock, with regulated custody under the U.S. legal framework, in contrast to exposures conducted offshore, synthetic structures or through special purpose vehicles (SPVs).
