China pilots visa-free policy for five countries including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay

A reporter asked, and we noticed that China announced a trial visa-free policy for Brazil and five other countries during the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-Latin America Forum. Can the spokesperson provide further information?
Lin Jian introduced that in order to further facilitate personnel exchanges between China and foreign countries, China has decided to expand the scope of visa-free countries. From June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026, a visa-free policy will be implemented for Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Uruguay. People with ordinary passports from the above five countries can be exempted from visa entry when they come to China for business, tourism, visit relatives and friends, exchange and visit, and transit for no more than 30 days.
Lin Jian said that China will adhere to high-level opening up to the outside world, introduce more measures, and continuously improve the level of facilitation of personnel exchanges between China and foreign countries. We also welcome more foreign friends to make good use of visa-free and visa-facilitation policies in China, visit China more often, and experience the colorful, passionate and vibrant China.
